  • Ramen Shimada Introduces New Affordable Ramen Dishes

If you’re a certified ramen lover, you’ve probably heard about Ramen Shimada‘s quality dishes that do not break the bank.

Opened early last year, Ramen Shimada is a ramen restaurant located in Pasay City, with a commitment to serve the best ones at an affordable price. Their dishes are created by well-trained Japanese chefs who only use high-quality ingredients.

Since then, the ramen restaurant has started gaining a following of ramen lovers looking for budget-friendly meals that do not sacrifice flavor and taste.

And as a New Year’s treat, Ramen Shimada introduces two new additions to their menu: the Tonkotsu Yasai Ramen (Php 290) and the Kannana Ramen (Php 320).

Tonkotsu Yasai Ramen is pretty similar to Ramen Shimada’s best-selling Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen, save for the inclusion of bean sprouts.

The soup dish is made with the restaurant’s homemade chashu and topped with moyashi (bean sprouts), kikurage (wood ear mushroom), negi (spring onion), and rayu (chili oil).

Kannana Ramen, on the other hand, has a thicker and creamier soup—thanks to the addition of seabura.

Seabura is pork back fat boiled until tender

Aside from the seabura, the garlicky Kannana Ramen is also served with Ramen Shimada’s homemade chashu, negi, and moyashi.

Ramen Shimada also serves unlimited rice for every ramen for FREE. It’s a known fact that Filipinos love their rice, so don’t be shy to ask for a cup of rice to go with that steaming bowl of ramen.

Ramen Shimada is located at EDSA Extension in Pasay City. For inquiries and more information, visit their official website or follow their Facebook page and Instagram account.
