  • It was nothing but festivity the moment we stepped inside this year’s Culinaire event where each corner of function rooms 4 and 5 of the SMX Convention Center instantly transformed the night into both an old and modern county vibe. With its grandiose designs and sumptuous meals prepared by top accredited caterers in the country, it was surely a delightful evening!

Culinaire, a French word, meaning anything related to food and cooking, is SMX Convention Center’s annual gastronomic event of food, fun, and festivity. This year’s theme is County Fair — a rodeo, county chic style.

The Culinaire is an annual event serving as a platform for caterers and clients not just for business but also for appreciation. The gathering is for all kinds of business people and 14 different catering services to showcase their best buffet spread with an aim to connect people to the right caterers.

This year’s Culinaire welcomed guests in a county flash-mob kind of production number from the staffs of each catering services. It was then followed by opening remarks and quick instructions before starting the food tour.

The food adventure starts with a map, taking guests per table, with over 700 seats, to different catering booths all at once. Here, everyone is assigned to a certain station to taste the appetizers, main course, and desserts prepared by the catering service and wait for a bell to transfer to the next destination from your map.

To make the fair even more lively, guest performers played country songs in the background while everyone’s enjoying their sumptuous meals. Oh, did we mention that there were also booth games as well as a 360-degree photo booth for everyone to enjoy?
