  • Innovation on fashion and dynamic designers took center stage at the Panasonic Manila Fashion Festival 8 (PMFF) last April 10 to 13 at the Marquee Tent in Edsa Shangri-La. Partnering with Art Personas is Panasonic Philippines, which switched its branding to lifestyle to suit the young Filipino market. With this, the PMFF 8 was upgraded to champion a more elaborate take on fashion runway through technology.

The highly anticipated fashion extravaganza featured creations from all over the country where each piece was photographed using Panasonic LUMIX cameras, including the Lumix G9 to show a more detailed image quality. The GH5 and GH5S, on the other hand, exhibited the pieces in stunning 4K videos.

Since each creation had their own intricacy and complexity, viewing them through Panasonic 4K TVs was a beautiful experience. At the venue, Panasonic products were displayed such as their LUMIX cameras, nano-E hair and beauty technology, and their small kitchen appliances, a small detail that brought a sense that Panasonic has pulled out all their best for the PMFF 8. Check out all these products in action viewable on their Youtube page, Manila Fashion Festival.

The PMFF runway kept delivering uniquely impressive sets of pieces, rooted in meaningful aesthetics and unexpected combinations of fabrics. The designers and brands exhibited wearable artworks for luminaries and fashion enthusiasts to witness raising the bar in terms of collections. Designers included Rob Ortega, Rica Roco, Naoki, and Davao-based designers like Aztec Barba and Bea Abrigo, as well as Jun Escario from Cebu.

On its third day, Panasonic products was brought into the runway through the Panasonic x Junca Hair Salon Show. Hair stylists and models exhibited hair styling using products from the Panasonic Beauty line that are proudly of Japan quality, design, and innovation. Junca President Hisayuki Nagatome and stylist Monika Abad led a team to finish the look of the models wearing a collection from Abie Abie.

Arin’s Sappho collection also incorporated Panasonic into the runway with the models holding and posing with Lumix Cameras making the whole look modern, elegant as well as functional.

The other designers and pieces that graces the runway that night were Jandra Barbiera, Reynier Abello, Neon Island, To end the night in a fashionable flair, the floor was filled with guests enjoying premium cocktails and designers talking about the artworks the went up the runway. Luminaries would not have been able to enjoy the four-day event without Panasonic and Art Personas.
