    The Department of Tourism (DOT) has re-launched its campaign entitled “Bring Home a Friend,” which seeks to tap Filipinos living abroad to invite foreigners to visit the Philippines.

    Through this referral incentive program, Filipinos can also have the chance to win a prize by joining the contest through https://bringhomeafriend.online/. This is done in an effort to help promote tourism I in the Philippines. As per DOT 2016 Visitors Sample Survey, 51.80% of tourists who visited the country were upon recommendation.

    Those eligible to join are Filipinos 18 years old and above, Filipinos with dual citizenship, and expats living in the Philippines for a minimum of six months prior to the raffle.

    Sponsor prizes include a Php 200,000 gift certificate from Duty Free Philippines for 3rd prize, a Toyota Vios 2017 for 2nd prize, and a Php 7 million – Megaworld condominium in Eastwood. For invitees, they have a chance to win a trip to Palawan, Cebu, and Davao for the first, second, and third prizes respectively.

    This campaign was first launched in 1994 in the country. The promo period runs from October 15, 2017 to April 15, 2018.
