  • Through the years, SMX Convention Centers have been holding different grand events in the country, making sure to promote the warm welcome of Filipinos in every city. On October 3, 2017, they soared high with Culinaire: Flight of Flavors as they celebrated SMX Manila’s 10th Anniversary; Megatrade Hall’s 25thAnniversary; SMX Davao’s 5th Anniversary and the Sky Hall’s 1st Anniversary.

    Mr. Walid Wafik-VP-General Manager of SMX Convention Center hosted the program and gave his speech and thanks, in which he also announced the opening of two more SMX Convention Centers that will open in the future: SMX Cebu and SMX Clark, Pampanga. In line with the celebration, they welcomed new caterers to add to their family; M Catering, Kitchen City, and Manila Catering are the newest catering partners of SMX Convention Center Manila.

    Also, by the end of the month, the new SMX website will be launched to cater to everyone’s inquiries. Culinaire: Flight of Flavors was a travel of a lifetime, as they showcased different booths of caterers who followed a theme of different travel destinations. This event is a by-invitation-only event that was attended by guests from the media, associations, government, and consumer sectors as well as the SM Affiliates.

    Tamayo’s Catering destination is the Philippines, a bahay kubo (nip hut) was the main focus of their design

    Via Mare’s booth is a colorful fiesta, complete with piñatas, chilies, and tacos

    Everyone was given a boarding pass as the invitation and a passport, where they need to have it stamped by different caters. Some of which are, Juan Carlos, Conrad Manila, Via Mare, Tamayo’s Catering, Hizon’s Catering, Bizu and much more. The guests enjoyed a scrumptious feast, delightfully tasted every dishes served to them. At the end of the tasting and eating, they were asked to vote for the best service, best appetizers, best main course, and best dessert.

    This event is for the guests and clients to get more information and meet SMX’s accredited caterers for other upcoming events.
