12-minute travel time between BGC and Ortigas seen by 2020
On Wednesday, July 19, officials from the Department of Public Works and Highways revealed a project to ease the traffic in Pasig and Bonifacio Global City. A total of 1.6 billion pesos project will connect the two cities in the future. The commercial district of Ortigas, Makati, and Mandaluyong will be easier to go to when the project is finished. We can expect this center link by March 2020, which also means commuting will only take about 12 minutes.
DPWH Secretary Mark Villar, Taguig City Mayor Maria Laarni Cayetano, Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BDCA) President and CEO Vivencio Dizon, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority Chairman Danilo Lim, Department of Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade were present during the inauguration in Taguig City.

The 961.427-linear meter road project is a four-lane from Sta. Monica to Lawton Bridge across Pasig River that will connect to the Lawton Avenue in Makati City while Sta. Monica Street in Pasig City and the structure at Lawton onward to the entrance of BGC. The golden age of infrastructure under the administration will be at 2017-2022.
They will also be creating a Sta. Monica-Lawton Bridge also related to BGC-Ortigas Center Link road project. There will also be 12 new bridges crossing the Pasig-Marikina River and the Manggahan Floodway. This project is under DPWH Unified Project Management Office (UPMO) headed by Undersecretary Sadain and Project Director Castillo of DPWH, they have partnered with contractors Persan Construction Inc. and Sino Road and Bridge Company Limited Inc.
