  • The Philippines will be hosting a full IRONMAN Triathlon in June 2018.

    In celebration of 10 years of staging the Ironman 70.3 half distance, the Philippines can now experience its first full-distance Ironman race on June 3, 2018 in Subic Bay.

    In a Facebook post by Century Tuna Superbods, it said that Century Tuna is the title sponsor of the Ironman Philippines event. According to a report by CNN Philippines, Asia Pacific Managing Director Geoff Meyer said that the enthusiasm around races in the Philippines is tremendous. This event also marks the 10th year when the half-distance Ironman 70.3 was first held in the country, particularly in Camarines Sur. Ironman Philippines is open for ages 18 years and above on the day of the event.

    The Ironman event will be held in Subic Bay, which according to Ironman, is “one of the best places to train and tri in the Philippines.”

    The Ironman is one of the leading sports brands in the world with 260 events in 44 countries. It is known to have the world’s most challenging endurance races, with having Malaysia and Philippines as the only sanctioned Ironman event places in Southeast Asia.
