  • Home of the famous B-side, The Collective is good food, music, art and more.

If you’re longing for a place where you can spend your weekends lounging and indulging in art, crafts, music and great food, go no further than The Collective in Malugay, Makati.

    The Collective (1)

The Collective is a big courtyard with a collection of unique shops and hangouts for the young and hip crowd. It is a great meeting place for artists, entrepreneurs, and free spirits, especially during weekends when The Collective’s biggest bar, B-Side, organizes gigs played by underground indie bands. B-side is popular for its alternative, progressive rock scene as well as its Irie Sundays, when the best local reggae talents and fans convene for a night of chill-out music. The Collective also hosts other youth events such as art exhibits, skate events and bazaars.

The entire complex has a bohemian vibe, with walls decorated in artful graffiti. There are art spaces, quaint cafes and restaurants, unique boutiques, and shops for extreme hobbyists. You can get special deals on various knick-knacks such as lomography cameras, comic books, toys, homegrown clothing brands, bespoke bike parts, vinyl records, skateboards and even musical instruments here. You can also hop around different restaurants serving up diverse cuisine. There’s Kaffir for Southeast Asian fare, Wabi-Sabi for great vegetarian food, Wingman for big burgers and tasty chicken wings, Kubyertos for delicious rice meals, and of course, B-Side for beers and cocktails.

The Collective, more than a hangout place, is a place for freedom of expression. Feel free to indulge your hobbies, creativity and sense of community with fellow artists and hobbyists.
