Toby’s Estate Coffee Roasters is a specialty coffee shop from Sydney, Australia that opened a branch in Salcedo last March 2014. It is a popular meeting place among the professionals and expats working in Makati.

Once you enter the café, the smell of freshly brewed coffee welcomes you. The shop also has quite a relaxing ambiance due to the bright and stylish interior. It is designed to be spacious so guests can enjoy having conversations with their friends or co-workers without worrying about other guests.
There are 3 other branches of Toby’s Estate in Metro Manila and each has its own style. There’s one in Century Mall which is more of a grab-and-go type; another in Eco Tower which caters to office workers in Taguig; and another in SM Aura which targets shoppers of the high-end mall. Toby’s branch in Salcedo happens to be the biggest so far. It can accommodate up to 70 people and it offers a full menu.
Toby’s boasts the quality and taste of their coffee drinks. They get the beans from farms in countries such as Panama and Singapore. These beans undergo “coffee cupping” or coffee tasting all the time to check the excellence, taste and aroma of the beans they use.
Preparation of “Brew Flight”
In their Slow Bar coffee menu, they have, what they call, the “Brew Flight” wherein customers can taste a single-origin coffee using Aero-press, Kalita Wave, and French Press brewing process. The preparation normally takes 4-6 minutes.
