Opening this July at Shangri-La Fort in BGC, Sabai is newest project of the team behind Uma Nota and promises an authentic and elevated Thai experience, courtesy of Head Chef Assavadathkamjorn Puwadol (Chef Tob) and his team of fellow Thai chefs. Chef Tob hails from Southern Thailand and brings an impressive pedigree to Sabai’s kitchen, having honed his skills in world-renowned Michelin-starred establishments such as Le Normandie by Alain Roux, Pru, and the two-Michelin-starred Sühring in Bangkok.

His vision for Sabai is to offer bold, expressive dishes that tell the real story of Thai cuisine by focusing on atypical specialties from Northern and Southern Thailand rather than the usual Pad Thai and Tom Yum Goong. Guests can look forward to dishes made with imported Thai herbs and spices to replicate real Thai flavors. Khao Kreab Cream Mun Pu, a crispy rice pancake topped with crab fat salad; Pla Kung Yang, flame-kissed tiger prawns tossed with lemongrass, kaffir lime, and chili; and Kang Panang Nuea Nong Lai, a stewed beef silver shank in panang curry, are just some of the dishes guests can enjoy here.

Be among the first to try it during their soft opening from July 14–27, with an exclusive 25% off your bill as a welcome treat. Dinner will be served from July 14–20, and both lunch and dinner from July 21–27. With Chef Tob bringing the heat and soul of his homeland’s cooking to the Metro, Sabai is sure to become the next big thing for Thai cuisine.
