Don Don Tei is a popular Japanese restaurant chain from Osaka that offers an authentic Japanese dining experience centered around donburi and tempura, two of the most beloved dishes in Japanese cuisine. From its humble origins, the brand now has over 300 branches in Japan and more in the US and Hong Kong.

Now, let’s talk about its offerings…

Don Don Tei’s dishes are prepared with meticulous care and authenticity by Japanese chefs that offer a perfect balance of flavors and textures. From the flavorful Wagyu Don to the crisp Ebi Tendon featuring Black Tiger Prawns that are tender and cooked to perfection, the entire menu is a delightful array of traditional Japanese dishes, with refreshing drinks and desserts to boot!

The 48-seater restaurant also offers a selection of soba dishes: Niku Soba and the Cold Soba with Mixed Tempura. The former is a delightful combination of buckwheat noodles and beef slices that perfectly encapsulates the essence of a dish that warms the soul. The raw egg yalk add a layer of creamy texture to the dish. On the other hand, the latter presents a contrastingly cool and crisp experience that combine the delicate texture of cold buckwheat noodles with the crunchy delight of mixed fried morsels.

Completing the menu are the teishoku sets, which offer a complete dining experience. The Nagoya Style Unagi Teishoku is especially notable for its perfect balance of flavors and textures, paired with traditional sides such as green beans and carrots kobachi, tsubozuke pickles, and miso soup for a filling meal.
