Ilaputi
If you ever find yourself looking for a great meal in Cebu, just head over to I.T. Park in Lahug area, where you’ll find Ilaputi.
Ilaputi immediately identifies as a classy restaurant at first glance. The glossy interiors are mostly black and gray hues, with overhead yellow lamps that give the place an attractive, intimate vibe. This restaurant prides itself on serving Asian soul food and fusion dishes. The menu is extensive: they have pasta, sandwiches, tapas, drinks, cocktails, all-day breakfast plates, and the Puti Platos – their classic and original dishes, all scrumptious and exciting.
Regular diners and the restaurant staff can name a lot of crowd favorites. But the one that tops everyone’s list is, without doubt, the Beef Stroganov. This creamy herbed dish is so flavorful, and the beef pieces so tender and succulent, you’ll want to lick your plate to savor every last bit. The Grilled Chinese Chicken Jambalaya is also a must-try, with its tangy, spicy sauce and juicy chicken that’s perfectly smoked and charred in all the right places. Other crowd-pleasers are Saigon Adobo, Kari Kulkarni, Puti Pasta, Triton’s Treat Pasta and any of their delicious shakes and cocktails. Whatever you pick from these choices, they will always come out delightful.
For a late night out with friends, Ilaputi is a great place. You can chill out on weekdays or see live bands playing here on weekends.
Ilaputi has been around for 12 years. And this place shows no sign of slowing. The food is always great and consistent, and even their simple breakfast fare can satisfy anyone. It’s lucky that they’re open 24 hours to accommodate everyone, from the brunch crowd to the after-party dining yuppies. Ilaputi is a classic, an excellent homegrown restaurant, and it’s no wonder people come back for more.
