Abaseria Deli & Cafe in Cebu: Where Filipino Cuisine Shine Through
Tucked within the quiet residential enclave of Villa Aurora Subdivision in Cebu City, Abaseria Deli & Café has long been a place where stories, heritage, and homegrown flavors come together. More than just a dining spot, it reflects a personal journey, one that began not in the kitchen, but in the world of craftsmanship.

Established in 1999 by Lalay Jurado Lava, Abaseria first took shape as an extension of her jewelry export venture, then transformed into a restaurant that celebrates Filipino culinary traditions, infused with her own heartfelt touches.
Today, it stands as a cherished neighborhood destination, its interiors adorned with local handicrafts and treasured memorabilia that create a cozy, family-friendly setting. Its commitment to honest cooking and generous value has even earned it a Bib Gourmand distinction, affirming its place in Cebu’s vibrant dining scene.

At the heart of Abaseria’s appeal is its lineup of well-loved Filipino comfort dishes, each prepared with the richness and familiarity of home kitchens.
The Crispy Roast Pork arrives golden and crackling, offering a satisfying contrast between crisp skin and succulent meat. Equally indulgent is the Humba (Stewed Pork) (Php 395), slow-braised until tender and deeply infused with its signature sweet-savory sauce.

Fresh, vibrant notes come through the Pako Salad (Php 460), where fiddlehead ferns are paired with salted egg for a delightful balance of earthiness and creaminess. Classic favorites like Lechon Kawali (Php 410) deliver crunch and flavor in every bite, while the Garlic Prawns (Php 565) highlight plump seafood sautéed in aromatic garlic.

Seafood and vegetable dishes round out the menu with the same thoughtful execution. The Adobong Bangus Belly (Php 600) showcases milkfish simmered in a bold adobo blend, its richness complemented by the tang of vinegar and soy.
