With the decision of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Infectious Diseases (IATF) to allow cinemas and movie houses to operate under Alert Level 3 and 2, many people are itching to watch movies outside their homes.
Here are some of the biggest malls that have reopened their movie theaters.
GATEWAY & ALI MALL CINEPLEX

Early this month, the Gateway and Ali Mall Cineplex invites everyone to their theater.
“As we welcome our movie go-ers back, we continue to implement safety measures to ensure that all our customers and employees will have a safer movie experience,” they said.

BONIFACIO HIGH STREET

The BHS Cinemas are open to fully vaccinated individuals every Wednesday to Sunday only. Ticket reservations and purchases can be done from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

Lucky Chinatown Mall/Megaworld Lifestyle Malls
For movie ticket purchases, Megaworld Cinemas is prioritizing contactless payments. Moviegoers can buy their tickets cashless using GCash, PayMaya, WeChat, and Alipay at cinema ticket booths. Upon purchase, customers will receive a QR code via email, which they can present to the ushers at the movie theaters’ entrances.
In line with the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases guidelines, Megaworld Cinemas will observe 50% seating capacity for fully-vaccinated individuals only.
ROBINSONS MALLS

Robinsons Malls welcomes you back to their Movieworld. This coming November 24 they will reopen their cinema. Their initial screenings will be at Robinsons Magnolia, Robinsons Galleria, and Robinsons Place Manila.
According to Robinsons Malls, you are required to bring your vaccination card (must be fully vaccinated). Wear your face mask at all times. And face shield while in the mall.

First to reopen is SM Cinema Aura Premier on November 17, Wednesday. The newly redeveloped theaters at SM Cinema North EDSA, Mall of Asia and Megamall will be reopening on November 24, while SM Cinema Grand Central, the newest SM Cinema branch, will be on November 26. SM Cinema Fairview, Southmall, Manila, BF Parañaque, Clark, San Lazaro, Baguio, Dasmariñas, Sta. Rosa, Sucat, Sta Mesa, and Bicutan will reopen to the public on November 30.

Early this month, Vista Mall also reopened its cinema to moviegoers. With the new normal of watching movies, the Vista Mall reminded everyone to follow safety protocols at all times.
