Baguio-Bound Vehicles Can Now Pass by Kennon Road on Weekends
Have plans on going to Baguio soon? Here’s a piece of good news because Baguio’s Kennon Road is now open to Baguio-bound vehicles on weekends until further notice.

The Department of Public Works and Highways-Cordillera Administrative Region Regional Office (DPWH-CAR) released a travel advisory that the famed road line can now be used by motorists going to Baguio starting last January 10 to 13 and will continue every weekend.

However, there are still restrictions for motorists who wish to pass by Kennon Road:
- Vehicles weighing more than 5 tons are advised to take the Marcos Highway or Asin-Nangalisan-San Pascual-Rizal-Anduyan Road instead.
- Motorists shall take precautionary measures when traversing Kennon Road and observe the 20 KPH speed limit. Further, drivers going north must stay in the right lane.
- In case of inclement weather or sudden occurrence of a localized thunderstorm in the area that may cause landslides, Kennon Road will be immediately closed upon the recommendation of the Kennon Road Task Group.
For motorists who wish to use other roads bound to Baguio, DPWH-CAR also released a list of accessible national roads leading to the city.
