Grab PH Launches New Features: GrabFamily and GrabPet
Grab has come a long way since it launched in the Philippines in 2013. From a simple ride-hailing application, it has now evolved into a “super app,” providing different services such as GrabFood, GrabPay, and Grab Delivery.
Well, there’s another reason to love the app as it has added two new services, which will provide a safer and more convenient riding experience for its patrons.

GrabFamily
The aim of GrabFamily is to make traveling with kids safe and convenient by equipping the vehicle with a child seat suitable for ages 1 to 12 years old.
This is in line with the passing of the Republic Act No. 11229 or the Child Safety in Motor Vehicle Act.

GrabFamily can accommodate a total of six people, including one child, comfortably. The driver-partners are 5-star Grab drivers that are knowledgeable and trained to install the car seat correctly.
Amenities like wet wipes, tissue, and alcohol are also made available in the car. As of now, this feature is only available for Metro Manila users.
To book GrabFamily, select Car in the Grab app home screen and select GrabFamily under Special Services.

GrabPet
Traveling with pets without a personal vehicle can be hard. Your furbabies have the tendency to get rowdy and messy at times, which may disturb other passengers or even the drivers.
To avoid these circumstances, Grab launched a feature called GrabPet especially tailored for riders traveling with pets.
In line with the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board’s (LTFRB) Memorandum Circular 2019-019, which allows pets to be transported via public utility vehicle, GrabPet cars are equipped with amenities and equipment for your furbabies. These include a pet kennel, which can fit one large breed of dog, two medium breed dogs, or two cats, a waterproof cargo liner for the rear area, and a pet barrier.
As of now, only dogs, cats, turtles, hamsters, rabbits, and fishes are allowed on GrabPet.
Grab also discourages transporting pets via GrabCar and GrabPremium rides to ensure the safety of both the passengers and driver-partners. Moreover, pets that are transported via GrabPet are insured.
To book GrabPet, select Car in the Grab app home screen and select GrabPet under Special Services.
