  • Lunar New Year, also known as the Spring Festival in China, is mostly celebrated by members of the Chinese community all over the world. Traditionally, it happens on the 23rd day of the 12th lunar month of the Chinese calendar. The festival goes on for about 23 days, ending on the 15th day of the first lunar month for that year.

    In the Philippines, Chinese New Year is celebrated in commemoration of the friendship between the Chinese and Filipino. Some traditions and dishes are brought upon by them to the Filipinos, that it became a regular doing up to this time. In the present time whenever Lunar New Year comes, it is widely celebrated as it became a regular holiday by the government.

    Given that this year, Chinese Lunar Year falls on a Friday, February 16, 2018; we’ve listed down some things to do, where to go, and how to basically celebrate this eventful period.

    Gather family and friends for some traditional and authentic Chinese food
