  • More than 1,200 students and professionals came to join DevCon Summit 2017, the biggest IT event in the Philippines. They filled up three conference halls at the SMX Conventional Center, with each hall having a guest speaker from different sectors of the IT industry talking about current IT trends.

    Focusing on the theme “Changing the Game,” here’s what went down during the second day of the event:

    Speech by Stephanie Sy, founder of Thinking Machines, about Data Science

    Bert Gavino, Digital Data Engineer Manager of Accenture

    Bert Gavino and Stephanie Sy talked about the latest trend in the IT industry, data science and image processing, and how this kind of technology works.

    Cielito Cosme from ChatbotPH

    Yong Park, Developer Specialist Solutions Architect of Amazon Web Services (AWS). He talked about Artificial Intelligence (AI), introducing AWS as an example.

    Aside from the Analytics & AI, The second day of the event was also filled with discussions about Cybersecurity, Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence.

    The morning session of Day 1 of DevCon Summit talked about Blockchain, a technology found in online encryption currency like BitCoin. The afternoon brought about discussion on DevOps, one of the approaches to designing a system.
