  • The Sumitomo Metal Mining Co. Ltd. in Japan donated ¥2 million as assistance fund in support of the reconstruction program of the damage caused by the recent earthquake in Surigao del Norte.

    In his letter dated March 01 to Charge d’ Affaires, a.i. Eduardo M.R. Meñez, of the Philippine Embassy in Tokyo, Mr. Yoshiaki Nakazato, President of Sumitomo Metal Mining Co. Ltd. in Japan, conveyed his deepest sympathies to the victims of and expressed condolences to the families of those who passed away caused by the recent earthquake.
