According to PAL President Jaime J. Bautista, they will operate more flights outside of Manila to offer convenience to passengers who need not to travel to Manila for their desired flights, as well as to decongest the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
Meanwhile, Philippine Daily Inquirer reported that this is also PAL’s way of contributing to the reduction of traffic in Metro Manila.
Based on crk.clarkairport.com, Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) President Alexander Cauguiran expressed that “this is a welcome development that augurs well to the achievement of overall socio-economic objectives of the Duterte administration that include the development and full utilization of the Clark International Airport.”
