Based on the map, the Philippines is revealed to be the best nation at “social networking.” In fact, according to a report published by Philippine Daily Inquirer last year, software Opera Mini reported that Philippines is the world’s “most social nation” based on social media activity of Internet users.
The country got the highest percentage of 86 percent among 50 countries based on page views from its mobile browser users in the Philippines.
McCandless told The Independent that it took three weeks of solid work to complete the map. Its making process required “roving news articles, rifling big databanks (UN, World Bank, CIA World Factbook), and doing specific Google searches.”
He added that while there were multiple options for some countries, his team chose the most interesting or entertaining possibility and kept the alternatives in the datasheet.
