  • COVER-Salcedo Village is a laidback neighborhood with a bright yet peaceful ambiance, with restaurants and quaint shops safely sheltered in this charming community, on its tree-lined streets and inside buildings. In this month’s Street section, we explore the many reasons-in the form of restaurants, cafe’s and other establishments-why everybody has fallen in love with Salcedo Village.

TRAVEL-Ilocos Sur embodies a compelling chapter of the Philippine history through its many Hispanic monuments, museums, and towns. In fact, the province houses two of UNESCO’s heritage sites-Vigan City and Santa Maria Church. Complemented by its rich landscape, Ilocos Sur lives on to be a prime tourist spot in the country, especially ideal for foreign tourists and expats who seek to have a deeper understanding of the country’s history and culture.

JAPAN SPECIAL- We continue to count the many reasons to love and travel to Japan! From last month’s feature of Hakodate, a city in the nothernmost island of Japan, we embark next for the opposite end-to a prefecture in kyushu, the country’s southernmost island. For this issue, we are joined by Filipina lifestyle journalist Marie Lozano and Japanese host Kaz Sawamura as we turn the spotlight on Kumamoto, a prefecture of rich cultural and historical heritage, with so many gastronomic discoveries to look forward to!
