  • Simon’s Viewpoint Inn and Pizza Restaurant in Banaue: A Quick Stop-Over Along The Trail
  • Located along Batad Trail—just a few minutes walk from Batad Heritage registration booth and viewing deck—is this great stop-over spot to dine and stay while admiring the majestic rice terraces.

Simon’s Viewpoint Inn and Pizza Restaurant is one of the most frequented and recommended inn and restaurant in Batad because of its good food and scenic view.

Simon’s Viewpoint Inn and Pizza Restaurant is situated near the view deck

From the restaurant’s open area and terrace, you will see a panoramic view of the amphitheater-like terraces of Batad. Isn’t it a perfect sight to see while having lunch after a tiring 2-hour trek?

But before you officially start your trek to Batad, it is recommended to drop by here to pre-order your lunch meals. This is because the cook will require some time to prepare the food while you are out trekking.

To start off your meal, try their Tuna Vegetable Pizza (Php 190). This unique pizza is almost like a fusion between pizza and taco because of its crunchy taco-like crust, topped with vegetables, tuna and lots of cheese.

If you are too exhausted from all the trekking you did, a perfect fix of rice meal might just recharge your energy. Their Banaue-style Chicken Adobo rice meal (Php 190) will make you salivate because of its appetizing aroma—not to mention lots of toasted garlic toppings!

On the other hand, their own take on the Chicken Tinola rice meal (Php 190) will refresh your palate with its lightly flavored chicken broth, with chunks of green papaya, ginger and chili leaves.

Aside from the restaurant, Simon’s Viewpoint has a guest inn on the second floor of the house. If you prefer to stay the night at Batad in a traditional way, they have 3 native Ifugao ‘bale’ houses available for rent just below the restaurant.
