MAFBEX Opens Culinary Cup: Home Chef Edition This June
Apart from serving traditional F&B products in the market, Manila Food and Beverage Expo (MAFBEX) is also brewing up the most awaited MAFBEX Culinary Cup: Home Chef Edition this coming June 12 to 13, 2019 at the World Trade Center Manila, Pasay City.
Get ready to take part on the grand culinary stage as it returns at the highly-anticipated 3rd edition of MAFBEX 2019 Culinary Cup Home Chef Edition
This third edition is once again opening the search for the next champion, and all aspiring chefs are encouraged to step out of the comforts of their own kitchens. MAFBEX genuinely wishes to open more opportunities for people from all walks of life, hence, it’s open for those with no prior professional or formal culinary experience.
There will be two rounds: the Semi-Finals to be held on June 12 and Grand Finals on the following day June 13. The Grand Prize Winner will receive Php 30,000 with a short course in culinary arts!
More exciting prizes await for the Grand winner of MAFBEX 2019 Culinary Cup Home Chef Edition
During the competition, the participants will be given their own work station and main ingredients. Dishes must be prepared under the strictest hygienic condition. Artificial coloring and flavors, among other chemical additives, are also strictly prohibited.
Again, the Culinary Cup is open to all non-professional cooks or home cooks, so your passion itself can drive you to the spotlight! It’s your chance to show your cooking skills in front of an audience, even if it’s your first time.
The participants will be provided with their own work station and main ingredients at the highly- anticipated Home Chef Edition
However, you must be 18 to 60 years old to participate in the said competition. Other requirements include:
- accomplished participation form with a 2×2 photo
- photocopy of birth certificate
- barangay clearance
- a whole body photo in smart casual
- a letter detailing the reason for joining
Julianne Yuki, the Grand Winner of MAFBEX 2018 Culinary Cup: Home Chef Edition, said in a press release: “The best part of the experience was meeting new home chef friends and being able to encourage one another. The entire event may be overwhelming but it was also full of enthusiasm from everyone who took part in it.”
