Manila’s NAIA is Top 10 in World’s Most Improved Airport
At the 2018 Skytrax World Airport Awards, Manila bags the tenth place in the World’s Most Improved Airports. This year’s winners include Changi Airport of Singapore as World’s Best Airport, Tokyo’s Haneda as World’s Cleanest Airport, and London Heathrow Terminal 2 as World’s Best Airport Terminals.
The Skytrax World Airport Awards for 2018 is based on 13.73 million airport questionnaires conducted through by air travelers in the largest annual global airport customer satisfaction survey. The survey ran from August 2017 to February 2018 across 550 airports worldwide. The awards were held at the Passenger Terminal EXPO in Stockholm, Sweden on 21st March 2018.

Manila International Airport Authority General Manager Ed Monreal gives his thanks to the passengers who voted for NAIA in the survey. “Their testimonies serve as inspiration for us to believe that change is not impossible even in the midst of trials,” he said on Thursday. “We are only as good as our last accomplishment. The bigger challenge now is how to sustain it.”
