In a press release issued last January 4, BI Commissioner Jaime H. Morente invited all registered expats to visit their head office in Intramuros or any of their field offices for their annual report. “The Annual Report of registered aliens is required by R.A. 562 and they have to do this within the first 60 days of every year,” he said.

Morente also said that the Annual Report period cannot be extended. “Failure to comply shall result in imposition of administrative fine and/or imprisonment at the option on the Commissioner,” he added.

All registered foreigners in the country are required to report in person to the BI or any of its field offices within the first 60 days of every calendar year under Republic Act (R.A.) 562 or the Alien Registration Act of 1950.

For first-timers, we have prepared a guide on how to file your Annual Report here.
