How to Make International Calls from the Philippines
There are steps we need to make in making an international call:
1st: Dial the exit code of the country you are in.
2nd: Dial the country code of the country you are trying to reach.
3rd: Dial the local code (area code)
4th: Dial the local number
For example, to make a call from the Philippines to Tokyo, first, dial the exit code of the Philippines (00). The next step is to dial the country code of Japan (81), then the local or area code you want to reach, in this case, it’s (03). Lastly, the number of the person we are calling.
exit code + country code + area code + local number
It’s almost the same way when we are calling from abroad to the Philippines. In this example, we use the number of Philippine Primer Magazine’s ((02) 836-8381) based in the Philippines
exit code + Philippine country code + area code* + local number
(* remove the number (0) in dialing the area code when making a call to the Philippines)
