  • Who said you cannot party and push for advocacy at the same time?

Don’t miss out on the Free the Sea Movement (FTSM)—a beach cleanup party happening on October 11 to 12, 2019 at Nalu Surf Camp and Alley 2 in Baler, Aurora!

On its fourth year, beach cleanup volunteers can look forward to two days of activities filled with becoming one with the sea.

REEF, the organizer of the event, is bringing artists, surfers, and sea experts for the total beach experience while imparting a sense of responsibility to tourists and travelers—particularly the importance of preserving nature.

The first day is comprised of a morning beach clean-up facilitated by WWF Philippines, environmental talks by Ocean Care Movements, open eco-market, sustainability workshops, and surfing clinics.

Also expect a night street party by Dominic Barlaw, Monostereo with the DJs CC Bass Relief and Escapone, and local Baler bands.

The talks, workshops, and clinics will continue on the second day as well as the eco-market, where you can buy cute reusable stuff.

An Expression Session will also take place as well as a music event featuring Acid Faerie Band, The Geeks Philippines, We Are Imaginary, Ciudad, Rusty Machines, She’s Only Sixteen, G2 & The Boondocks, Ang Bandang Shirley, Public Places, and Sweet Life Crew.

Take note that FTSM is a plastic-free event. The organizers have been using pure eco-friendly materials for their collaterals and ads since the start of this year, and they are encouraging attendees to do the same by refraining from using single-use plastics.
