Types of Visa
Visa is an endorsement document that a person has to obtain to give them the approval to enter and stay in a country for a particular duration. It is then classified to how it is issued, namely:
- Visa-free – Visa is not required for a person to enter the country.
- Visa on arrival – A person has to accomplish necessary documents to avail visa upon arrival at the destination country.
- Electronic Visa (eVisa) – You can apply for a visa online. This has to be presented upon arrival at the destination country.
- Visa required – Visa is required to enter the country. Therefore, you must apply at the embassy in the Philippines and get your visa approved before entry.
According to the Passport Index, the Philippine passport has a 72-point mobility score and is ranked 64th in the Passport Power Rank. A country’s mobility score is equivalent to each country that its holders can visit either without a visa or can obtain a visa on arrival.
