  • Qwikwire wins Best Fintech Startup in ASEAN Rice Bowl
  • Philippine startup Qwikwire has gained yet another international recognition after carrying off the Best Fintech Startup during the ASEAN Rice Bowl Startup Awards held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia last December 13, 2017. Qwikwire came to represent the Philippines after first winning in the National round held in October this year.

Qwikwire Marketing and Promotions Manager Renz Marcelo receives the Best Fintech Startup Certificate and Trophy during the awards ceremony in Kuala Lumpur.

Out of 11 startups that represented the Philippines in different categories, Qwikwire was the only one that won an award at the ASEAN Rice Bowl. Following this milestone is a bigger endeavor for Qwikwire to represent the Southeast Asian region and win under the Best Fintech Startup category in the Global Startup Awards finale to be held in Beijing, China next year.

A cheer from all the winners of the ASEAN Rice Bowl!

The Rice Bowl is the official Southeast Asia circuit for the Global Startup Awards, an annual event that celebrates and recognizes exceptional startups from across the globe. Established in 2012, the Global Startup Awards has served as a platform for startups from different countries to connect, tell their story and offer solutions to real-world problems.

The first Rice Bowl Startup Awards was held in Malaysia in 2015, wherein Qwikwire also bagged the Fintech Startup of the Year award.
