Due to positive feedback from commuters, the DOTr MRT-3 decided to extend the FREE RIDE program to help the public in the midst of rising fuel prices and inflation.
The FREE RIDE program started on March 28 until April 30, but was extended until May 31.
According to MRT-3 OIC-General Manager and Director for Operations Michael J. Capati, the MRT-3 has served a total of 15,730,872 passengers under the FREE RIDE program, with 315,334 passengers taking the MRT-3 on average during weekdays since it was launched.
