Pantone Introduces Classic Blue as 2020 Color of the Year
If you happen to love color blue, 2020 is definitely your year because Pantone finally named Classic Blue as the 2020 Color of the Year!
As the new decade comes, Pantone decided to go classic with the 19-4052 Classic Blue describing it as a “timeless and enduring blue hue” that is “elegant in its simplicity.”
Dubbed as a universal favorite, Classic Blue stands out from the rest as it brings a strong sense of peace to the human spirit that provides refuge. Further, the said color highlights one’s desire for a dependable and stable foundation as we cross into a new era.
“We are living in a time that requires trust and faith. It is the kind of constancy and confidence that is expressed by 19-4052 Classic Blue, a solid and dependable blue hue we can always rely on. Imbued with a deep resonance, Classic Blue provides an anchoring foundation,” Executive Director of The Pantone Color Institute Leatrice Eiseman said.
“A boundless blue evocative of the vast and infinite sky, Classic blue encourages us to look beyond the obvious to expand out thinking; challenging us to think more deeply, increase our perspective, and open the flow of communication,” Eiseman further explained.
They added that honest and non-aggressive colors such as the Classic Blue offers a promise of protection that makes it a truly interactive color experience for all.
