Google PH Releases Lists of 2019 Top Trending Searches
It is no doubt that 2019 has been a year with marked with trending topics that made headlines not only in the Philippines but also worldwide—from milk tea craze and funny memes to trending movie premieres and celebrity blunders.
If you are curious about what most Filipinos searched online this 2019, Google, fortunately, rounded up a few lists of top trending searches for 2019 to take us back on what people have been busy searching about online.

Let’s start off with the Overall Top Trending Searches for 2019, which was topped by Omegle searches. It is followed by topics such as “Memory Hackers,” “Thanos,” “NBA Standings,” “Halalan 2019,” “Eddie Garcia,” “Pacquiao vs Broner,” and “Memories lyrics” among others.
The year also had a handful of news topics that were talked about nationwide such as “Halalan 2019,” “LET result March 2019, ” “Earthquake today,” “SOGIE Bill,” “Amazon rainforest,” “Lotto results today,” “SONA 2019,” and “Bar exam results 2019,” which are included in the top searches for News.

With the viral revelation of the new actress to play the iconic Filipina heroine Darna, Jane De Leon managed to snatch the top spot in Google’s Top Trending Searches for Female Personalities.
On the other hand, SB19, the new Filipino idol boy group, managed to snatch the first spot in the Male personalities list.
Interestingly, people took to the internet their curiousness on Bull Dogs as became the Top Trending Searches for Dogs. This year also featured some of the best events such as the NBA Standings 2019, which placed first in the top Events list.
One of the trends that invaded the social media community is Dark Mode as most mobile applications have changed their color settings to black, which got people searching the internet on how to enable it in their smartphones—thus the Top Trending Searches for How To.
Of course, who would forget one of the most epic movie releases of 2019 (or perhaps the entire decade)? The Marvel movie Avengers: End Game did not only successfully topped the box office records but also in Google’s top trending list for Movies.
The music industry continues to create great songs including Maroon 5’s Memories, which topped the list of most searched Songs and Lyrics. Google also listed 10 of the most searched losses of 2019, which included some iconic personalities in the local and international entertainment scenes such as Eddie Garcia, Sulli, and Gina Lopez among others.
All in all, most people’s internet searches can easily round up how amazing 2019 has been!
