  • Global real estate firm Revolution Precrafted, dubbed as the first and only Philippine startup unicorn to date, is joining AQWIRE, a blockchain-powered real estate listings platform, to facilitate its real estate transactions worldwide.

    AQWIRE CEO Ray Refundo and Revolution Precrafted CEO Robbie Antonio sealed the deal in a contract signing last September 5, 2018, making AQWIRE the first platform where Revolution Precrafted properties will be listed and sold globally.

    “We’re happy to onboard our first client on AQWIRE, Revolution Precrafted. 30,000 units will be listed in the AQWIRE platform within the next 12-18 months. Revolution Precrafted already closed nearly USD9-billion worth of deals in 24 countries. We are honored to work with them,” Refundo said.

    As the first global real estate platform in Asia, AQWIRE will serve as a global marketplace for international buyers and sellers. It will empower developers and brokers to be able to access foreign buyers. Its parent company, Qwikwire will process payments for AQWIRE through different conventional channels such as credit and debit cards, international bank transfers (ACH) and SWIFT, and give out different analytical data to help potential buyers with their purchasing decision.

    “The cross-border international real estate market is now at USD400-billion. Many people in China, South Korea and Japan are buying properties in the West and in Australia. Similar thing happens in Southern Europe.  It’s really an exciting space to be in,” Refundo explained.

    Meanwhile, AQWIRE’s partnership with Sathoshi Citaldel Industries (SCI) will enable the platform to accept cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, and Litecoin among others as a payments.

    Using blockchain technology, AQWIRE will provide solutions to multiple barriers that buyers, sellers and developers are facing when facilitating property transactions overseas.

    “We’re developing several smart contract applications that will replace many steps in the purchase of international real estate – from looking, to your financing, to booking and leasing your reservations. We are really excited to launch this platform with Revolution Precrafted as our first client,” Refundo added.

    Valued at USD1 billion, Revolution Precrafted is a global leader in the emerging sector of property technology, or Proptech, uniting over 80 of the world’s preeminent architects, artists, and designers to create limited-edition, luxury, prefabricated homes to the international market primed for new modular dwelling options.

    “Revolution Precrafted is a fast-growing global firm present in six continents and in 24 countries, which makes us a true global player.  AQWIRE will provide a platform for foreign developers such us our company to do global real estate transactions,” Antonio stated.
