  • In celebration of the annual World Tourism Day, the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines will be holding an International Tourism Day event this September 27, 2018, at Dusit Thani, Makati City from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

    With speakers from both local and international tourism sectors, the forum will focus on the recent developments in the Philippine tourism industry. The event seeks to show European investors the competitiveness and accessibility of the market to increase the presence of European SMEs in the country. This year’s theme for the International Tourism Day is Tourism and Digital Transformation.

    This one-hour forum and networking event is a project of the EU–Philippines Business Network which helps European enterprises and SMEs to gain access to business opportunities in the Philippines and in driving European trade and investment in the country as well as the ASEAN region.

    This year’s speakers include USEC Benito Bengzon Jr., Undersecretary for Tourism & Development Planning and Department of Tourism Spokesperson, Mr. Matt James, Senior Manager of Corporate Strategy & Business Development Amadeus Asia Pacific, Mr. Smuel David, Country Manager of International Air Transport Association, and Arnold Gonzales, OIC of Tourism Promotions Board of the Philippines. Hosting the event is Atty. Tony Abad, CEO of Philippine International Trading Corp.
