The 2019 SEXY4EVA World Tour is happening on September 22, 2019 at the New Frontier Theater.
For over a decade, Jay Park has been at the forefront of the R&B music industry catching the eyes and ears of the public. He successfully made his name known all over the world as an independent hip-hop and R&B artist through incorporating a mixture of both Western and Asian elements in his music.
His musical history came from his passion for dance and genuine enthusiasm for hip-hop and culture, embracing both his American and Korean roots.
Jay rose to fame as the former leader of 2PM, a South Korean boy band under JYP Entertainment in 2008. He left the group in 2010 and released his first EP, Count on Me, after his Youtube cover video of B.o.B’s hit song “Nothin’ on You” became viral online.
In 2012, he released his first full-length Korean album New Breed, which debuted number four on Billboard’s World Album chart and number sixteen on Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart.
Jay Park‘s fourth studio album, Everything You Wanted, charted third on Billboard’s World Album Chart, third in iTunes U.S. R&B Chart, and various singles charting in Korea’s MelOn Chart.
Some of his major global hits include “Mommae” from his third studio album, Worldwide; “Drive” featuring GRAY from his 2016 album, Everything You Wanted; and “Yacht” featuring SIK-K from his 2018 album, Ask Bout Me.
Another recent addition to the list is “K-TOWN”, the lead single from his upcoming joint project with Hit-Boy.
Aside from being an artist, Park is also active as the CEO of the leading independent hip-hop/urban label, AOMG, founded in 2013 based in Seoul.
