  • Kick-off June with a celebration of Korean culture and the Hallyu Wave at the first K-Street Festival happening from May 31 to June 1, 2019, at C1 Park, BGC, Taguig City. The festival is a joint initiative of the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines (KCC), Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Philippines, United Korean Community Association and Bonifacio High Street. The event also celebrates the 70th year of the PH-ROK Bilateral Relations.

    The festival showcases not only the beauty of Korean Culture but also some of the popular activities and trends that have taken the country by storm. It’s an event that you can enjoy whether you’re a fan of Kpop or if you’re simply interested in learning more about the country’s diverse and vibrant culture.

    K STREET FESTIVAL: Experience Korea in BGC

    A grand showcase of Korea’s popular activities and trends, the K Street Festival is an event for friends and family interested in the diverse culture of Korea. The two-day free festival has seven staging areas themed to target the different sectors of Korea’s popular presence in the country. Different fun activities, food stalls, cooking demonstrations and hanbok wearing and Korean art experience zones, informational stations about Korea tourism, K-pop and exhibitor stations that showcase Korean traditional art and products will be available for the festival goers. Also joining the festival are the Kukkiwon Taekwondo Demonstration Team from Korea, SB19 and the 2018 Pinoy K-pop Star winners K-IDLE, Kaiju-x, Mix’in, John Paul Manuel, Sandra dela Cruz, and Venisse Nicole Siy.ADMISSION IS FREE!!! This event is a collaborative initiative of KCC, Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Philippines, United Korean Community Association, and Bonifacio High Street and is part of the Korean Culture Day event of the Korean Culture and Information Service of Korea.     Take part in the various activities as the festival is split into seven thrilling zones that you wouldn’t want to miss out on. Each of the zones features an aspect of the culture where one can enjoy exciting activities and also expand their knowledge on these aspects of the culture. The zones that you can enjoy are as follows:

    • K-Food Zone
    • K-Drama Zone
    • K-Pop Zone
    • K-Tour Zone
    • K-Beauty Zone
    • K-Art Zone
    • K-Fun Zone

    Apart from the activities that you can enjoy in the zones, there will also be workshops Taekwondo demonstrations from the Kukkiwon Taekwondo Demonstration Team. Philippine-based fan clubs of Kpop Groups will also be present at the Kpop Zone.
