Manny Pacquiao to return in the boxing ring on November 5
Boxing champ and Philippine senator Manny Pacquiao is set to come out of his retirement to fight again in the ring on November 5, according to his top adviser Mike Koncz.
According to a Philippine Star report, it was Koncz who told the Los Angeles Times’ Lance Pugmire regarding Pacquiao’s comeback fight on November 5. The revelation was said to have happened a few days after Top Rank CEO Bob Arum said that he will be in the Philippines to finalize the details about the venue. Although the event has already been booked at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, they are also exploring Dubai as an alternative location.
Pacquiao is set to fight WBO Welterweight titlist Jessie Vargas over Terence Crawford, who according to Koncz, does not suit Manny’s boxing style. Vargas is a boxer defeated by Timothy Bradley, whom Pacquiao defeated twice.
According to the report, Pacquiao will be undergoing training for the fight in the Philippines, as he is expected to fulfill his duties and commitment as a senator. Previously, Pacquiao has announced his retirement on April 2016 to focus on politics, but is now coming back for the said fight.
