  • With the holiday season in full throttle, various Christmas activities have also begun. From Christmas Carolling to Misa de Gallo, there’s just so much that you can do during Christmas. But if you’re in the mood to stay home and watch movies, let us help you with your holiday movie list. Netflix has an excellent selection of holiday titles that are available for streaming, here are some of the titles that are available on Netflix Philipines!

    Christmas Inheritance

    Ellen Langford, the heiress to her father’s business, is faced with the task before she can inherit the company. Ellen must deliver a special Christmas card to her father’s former partner in Snow Falls, a town that she has never known. Ellen gets stranded at the town’s inn, forced to work her keep and finds romance. Along the way, Ellen also discovers the true gift of Christmas.

    The Holiday Calendar

    The Holiday Calendar tells the tale of a talented yet, struggling photographer who inherits an antique advent calendar. But this is no ordinary advent calendar, it has magical properties that allows it to predict the future. Will this calendar be able to help our protagonist find love?

    The Princess Switch

    A baker from Chicago gets the chance to compete in a Christmas baking competition in the country of Belgravia. The baker bumps into the prince’s fiance and they discover that they both look alike. The two agree to switch lives for two days in this exciting Christmas tale!

    Miracle on 34th Street

    Susan Walker, a six-year-old girl who is skeptical of Santa Claus and a lawyer is tasked with the task to prove that a man claiming to be Santa Claus is the real thing in this heartwarming Christmas saga. This is a classic Christmas tale that is guaranteed to make you shed a tear or two.

    The Polar Express

    A young boy boards a magical train that’s headed to the North Pole. The story involves a doubting boy who goes on a journey of self-discovery in the adventure of a lifetime. The story teachers friendship, bravery, and the spirit of Christmas.

    Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas

    Inside a snowflake is the magical land of Whoville where Christmas is loved by all – except for one. But one child, Cindy Lou Who decides to befriend and help the Grinch.

    The Home Alone Series

    Home Alone is a series of family comedy films that revolve around children who find themselves alone during Christmas and must hold their own to protect their home and themselves from invaders. The films in the series are classics that are worth the watch if you want a good laugh; these movies are also perfect for the whole family.

    Elf

    As a toddler, Buddy was accidentally transported to the North Pole where he grows up to be one of Santa’s elves. Feeling that he doesn’t fit in, Buddy travels to New York in his elf uniform to search of his real father. Buddy discovers that his father is Walter Hobbs, a somewhat cynical businessman. In a turn of events, Walter attempts to build a relationship with his son with increasingly chaotic outcomes.

    A Christmas Story

    The film follows the exploits of Ralphie Parker who spends most of his time trying to dodge a bully and dreaming of his ideal Christmas gift, a Red Ryder air rifle. With spats with his father and antics of his doting mother, Ralphie struggles to make it to Christmas Day with his hopes and his glasses intact.

    The Nightmare Before Christmas

    The Nightmare Before Christmas narrates the misadventures of the Halloweentown King, Jack Skellington, who has become bored of their routine Halloween antics. The pumpkin king accidentally stumbles upon Christmastown and plots to bring Christmas under his control by capturing Santa Claus and taking over. But Jack soon finds out that even the most perfectly thought out plans of mice and skeleton men can go wrong.
