As one of the most popular travel destinations in the Philippines, Batanes has always been a favorite place of tourists to visit. However with the cost of transportation and its unpredictable weather, it has become somehow inaccessible compared to other provinces in the Philippines, particularly because Batanes is found at the northernmost part of the country. But now with Batanes Wakay Travel & Tours Inc, a travel operator recognized by the Department of Tourism and the Tourism Promotions Board, travel is now made more accessible to reach the Ivatan soil.

Only two airlines have offered flights to and from Manila and Batanes before Wakay Air. AirSWIFT is the boutique airline which had its maiden flight to Batanes through Wakay Travel & Tours.

Famous for its scenic hill views and stone houses, Batanes is also known for being an eco-tourism spot which is why according to Batanes representative Henedina Abad, they want to preserve sustainable eco-tourism and not mass tourism.

According to Rappler report, flights cost P7000-8000, depending on some promos that the tour operator may have.

Want to see what makes Batanes the best getaway place? Visit this stunning province and be amazed by this unspoiled paradise.
