Father’s Day: How is It Celebrated in Other Countries?

.They are the first men in a girl’s life and the first buddy in a boy’s. Despite circumstances, our fathers (or those who are fathers to us) have influenced our lives in more ways than one.
Fathers’ Day is celebrated today in the Philippines but, apparently, not in all countries. How is Father’s Day celebrated in various places all over the world? Philippine Primer talked to a few expats and got the following results:

.“Groups of fathers go out on biking expeditions, hiking or bar-hopping. It’s like father’s day out. Normally, alcohol is involved. It falls on the day of Ascencion – May 14th this year.” – Michael (Germany)

.“We normally have dinner or lunch with the whole family and give our dad presents like perfume and neck tie. But I usually give my dad a rock band live DVD because my dad loves rock! It is celebrated every Mar. 19th which is the Feast of St. Joseph.” – Melissa (Italy)
