Two Kitchens, One Table: IKOMAI and Zagin Soba Come Together for a Special Neighborhood Dinner in Salcedo
On March 11, 2026, IKOMAI in Salcedo will host a special evening of shared craftsmanship, thoughtful cooking, and neighborhood warmth through Two Kitchens, One Table, a four-hands dinner led by Chef Shun Sato of Zagin Soba Manila and Chef James Antolin of IKOMAI.
Part of a two-night collaboration, the event brings together two distinct kitchens with one clear intention: to let each chef cook in his own voice while meeting at the same table.
The first dinner takes place on March 10 at Zagin Soba, followed by the March 11 at IKOMAI, where guests can experience the collaboration in a more intimate setting. Rather than blending styles into a single concept, the dinner highlights the beauty of contrast—Nagoya comfort food and modern soba craft served side by side, each expression staying true to its roots.

Set from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., the March 11 dinner at IKOMAI offers a 5-course tasting menu priced at Php 3,000 plus service charge. The experience is designed not only around the dishes themselves, but also around the easy, familiar atmosphere that defines evenings in the neighborhood. With limited seats available, the event invites diners to slow down, settle in, and enjoy a table shaped by good food and even better conversation.

Among the featured dishes are a few plates that reflect the character of both kitchens. Guests can look forward to Tebasaki – Nagoya Style, Japanese-style chicken wings stuffed with gomoku rice and paired with tea hojicha bou cold brew.
Another highlight is the Tako – Salmon Carpaccio, a delicate combination of thinly sliced octopus and salmon with black garlic, miso prawn bisque, and shiso oil. For those anticipating something heartier, the menu also includes limited Zagin ramen and wagyu beef sushi, bringing together comfort and refinement in one memorable course.
To end the dinner on a sweet note, selected chocolate desserts will also be part of the experience, including creations such as Chocolate Symphony, which combines chocolate mousse and speculoos brownies, as well as Dark Kahlua Shots finished with dark chocolate and paired with hot tea. These final courses round out the evening with richness and warmth, echoing the relaxed yet thoughtful spirit of the event.
Seats are limited. To reserve a table, interested guests may send a direct message or call 0917 709 4809 or 8816 4588.
