Flowers Abloom, A Flower Painting Exhibit by Elizabeth Payte
Beauty has always been the prime subject of paintings, so it is no wonder that the marvelous, natural, diverse subject of flowers often appears repeatedly in paintings. Painted flowers, often serve more purpose than a decorative display for they can be extremely symbolic of various concepts and attribute different meanings to a painting depending on a variety of factors, like the exhibit of painted flowers by artist, Elizabeth Payte.

Elizabeth Payte is a double degree holder who graduated BS Civil Engineering at Adamson University Manila, and BA Interior Design at Assumption College, Makati. It was not long before she discovered her love and talent for painting after trying some art classes offered by a friend of hers who is also an artist.
Apart from being a wonder mom to her children, she also taught art history and appreciation at the Asia Pacific College in Magallanes for two years. A combination of Payte’s admiration for and exposure to European arts greatly influenced her impasto technique in painting. In addition, her love for anything Victorian inspires her to paint flower designs on various objects, which often include several Hermès bags.
Running from August 11 to August 23, 2017, 10 AM to 7PM, Ayala Musuem proudly presents “Flowers Abloom”, an exhibit of numerous flower themed paintings by artist herself, Elizabeth Payte. Admission to the exhibit is free of charge. For inquiries, you may send an e-mail to hello@ayalamuseum.org.
