On September 24, 2025, my first starring film “Minamahal: 100 Bulaklak Para Kay Luna” finally premiered nationwide in the Philippines!🎉

My Journey as a Japanese Actress in the Philippines

As those reading my column know, it’s been three years since I started working as an actress in the Philippines.

The path to being recognized as a Japanese actress in the Philippines at Viva Artists Agency—the largest talent agency representing thousands of talents—was truly arduous💪

The hardest part was “staying true to myself”

As I mentioned in the premiere screening interview, standing out among thousands of agency members was incredibly tough. 😅

But remembering my experience as Japan’s representative in Miss Supranational Japan 2024, I gained confidence. Staying true to myself led to casting opportunities. 💖

Acting in Tagalog, I struggled more with the differences in reactions than the language itself. Working as an actress, I realized Filipinos express emotions so richly—their reactions to joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness are completely different from Japan’s! It took time to master expressions I never used before.😳

A film for the whole world to see✈️

After its theatrical release in the Philippines, this movie will also stream on the VIVA ONE app, which has over 14 million members! I’m truly overwhelmed that people worldwide will get to see my performance😭✨

My family and friends in Japan are also really looking forward to people around the world seeing it💕

Upcoming challenges🌟

Actually, I’ve already finished filming three projects, and I plan to share updates with everyone soon:

• A film shot in New Zealand
• A film shot in Taiwan
• A suspense film shot in the Philippines

This time I played a high school heroine, but next I’d like to challenge myself with a role like a “psychopath who appears beautiful on the surface but is cold-hearted and two-faced behind the scenes” 😈

I love immersing myself in any character, and seeing my own performance on the big screen was truly moving!

As a Japanese actress in the Philippines, I want to keep growing more and more. Everyone, please keep supporting me! 💪✨
