cuddle isn’t your run-of-the-mill restaurant you can find in the Metro. Instead, it celebrates and advocates healthy Japanese diet often unseen in the aforementioned places. Guided by seasoned chef Yukiko Niimura, cuddle is a treasure trove of homemade delights that redefine freshness and prioritize a colorful array of vegetables, each boasting its unique set of health benefits.
What sets Cuddle apart is its meticulous approach to seasoning by ensuring a delightful balance that caters to both Japanese and Filipino palates. As chef Yukiko explained, “Basically, we use Filipino ingredients as much as possible and cook using original seasonings without adding unnecessary chemical seasonings.”

Three months after opening, cuddle hasn’t just become a hit with the Japanese community, but has garnered love from the locals too. The Filipino favorites include the grilled potato salad and inarizushi. For the Japanese patrons, the top picks are agedashi tofu, simmered pumpkin and deep fried eggplant in dashi broth.
Now, brace yourself for new takeout items which were expertly though-out in response to customers’ requests for heartier meals. Shrimp and fried tofu with chili sauce, karaage, grilled miso-marinated pork, and nagaimo fried yam with nori & sea salt flakes—all designed to be both flavorsome and healthy!
