  • SMC Infrastructure Waives Toll Fees for Christmas and New Year’s Eve
  • The holiday season is a time for celebration, shopping, and family gatherings, but it also brings the annual rush on the roads. With an increase in travel as people head to shopping malls, holiday destinations, and family homes, traffic congestion can become a major concern.

    To ease the burden on motorists and provide a more convenient and smoother travel experience, San Miguel Corporation (SMC) Infrastructure has announced the suspension of toll fees on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

    The toll fee suspension will be in effect from 10:00 p.m. on December 24 until 6:00 a.m. on December 25 for Christmas Eve, and from 10:00 p.m. on December 31 until 6:00 a.m. on January 1, 2025, for New Year’s Eve.

    SMC’s expressways include the Skyway System, NAIA Expressway (NAIAX), South Luzon Expressway (SLEX), STAR Tollway, and Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX).

    Meanwhile, to ensure motorists’ safety and security during this period, SMC Infrastructure has deployed additional patrollers and security personnel along its expressways. They will be on standby to assist travelers, monitor traffic flow, and respond swiftly to any emergencies. Roadworks will also be temporarily suspended to allow for smoother travel and minimize disruptions during the holiday rush.

    In their published post on December 20, SMC Infrastructure also provided the emergency hotlines in case of road accidents or emergencies. You may contact the following in case of emergencies:

    • Skyway System and NAIAx (02-5318-8655 / 0917-5398762);
    • SLEX (049-508-7539 or 0917-687-7539);
    • STAR Tollway (043-756-7870 / 0917-511-7827);
    • TPLEX (0917-888-0715)

    As the holiday season draws near, SMC Infrastructure’s efforts to ease travel during this bustling time reflect their commitment to ensuring a smooth and stress-free journey for all motorists.
