TARA, the Anti-Theft App

You know it’s one of the worst days of your life when your hard-earned smartphone gets stolen from you. It’s like you’ve lost a lot of things, and also: your privacy. Meanwhile, did you know that there’s an app which can help you protect your phone privacy from the prying eyes of thieves? Here comes TARA, the anti theft app.

Theft Apprehension and Asset Recovery Application or TARA was developed by IT expert Jun Lozada, which is a pre-embedded app at the chipset of MyPhone gadgets such as Agua, ICEBERG, Agua Vortex, Agua Rain 3G, and A888 duo. This app is free of charge and is actually easy to use. You only need to register by creating a TARA account, by filling out your details such as name, secondary mobile number, 6-digit pin, and email address.

If ever your phone gets stolen, the app will work by texting “LOCK” plus the 6-digit pin to the stolen device using another mobile. You can also call TARA hotline numbers at 847-82-72 (landline), 0917-873-5107 (Globe) and  0925-800-8272 (Sun).

According to MyPhone, the phone will set off an alarm that says “Magnanakaw, Magnanakaw!” repeatedly, rendering the device inoperable.  No matter what thieves do to operate the phone, it still cannot be uninstalled. To deactivate the app, you need to call the hotline numbers and provide the 6-digit pin.

With TARA app, you can now prevent thieves from profiting using a stolen phone!
