Flat tire? It is a great hassle for motorists to change a flat tire in the middle of the road in the wee hours of the morning. A bigger hassle is if you don’t have an extra tire. The Automobile Association Philippines (AAP) is the country’s biggest and oldest auto club. Members may avail of Emergency Roadside Service (ERS) for their registered cars at any time, or for any non-registered car they are using provided they are present at the time of the service. ERS interventions include towing, (flat) tire change, battery boosting, fuel provision and simple mechanical repairs. Non-AAP members are serviced and charged corresponding ERS fees at the expressways according to rates approved by the tollways and the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) which are published on AAP tow vehicles.
