  • Popular navigation app Waze partners with the Department of Tourism (DOT) for “100 Days in the Philippines,” a project that aims to highlight the colorful history and culture of the country.

    Once your vehicle is at a complete stop (or at “zero-speed”), Waze zero-speed takeovers will showcase different tourist spots along with local traditions and culinary specials of the Philippines.

    Learn and experience the Pearl of the Orient while stuck in traffic (unfortunately) as these zero-speed takeovers contain over a hundred images of each Philippine wonders together with substantial and interesting information about it.

    In a statement, Country Manager of Waze Philippines Sarah Rodriguez expressed the company’s excitement to be able to inspire motorists to explore and know more about the country with the help of DOT.

     “Through this partnership, we hope to see more Filipinos taking trips of wonder,” she added.

    Tourism Assistant Secretary Howie Uyking shared the same sentiment, noting that with all the international travel recognitions that the Philippines has received for the year, now is the best time to take part in what the country has to offer especially in the sector of travel and tourism.
