What to Expect from the BGC Arts Center this August
Let’s celebrate the month of August with overflowing love for all forms of art as BGC Arts Center laid out an exciting line up of events and activities!
Get your artistic side pumped up for the BGC Arts Center 2019 with the following events:
Madagascar: A Musical Adventure (August 2 to 18)
Presented by Atlantis Imaginarium Young Theater, bring out the child in you and go on a musical journey to the bright and colorful Madagascar! Spend time with your familiar friends Alex, Marty, Melman, and Gloria as they take over the musical stage for Madagascar: A Musical Journey on August 2 to 18 at the Globe Auditorium, Maybank Performing Arts Theater.

Pamilya Maleta: Bente Singko na Kami (August 3 to 4)
Pamilya Maleta features the Inusisa Family, whose life is ridden with problems reflective of those that plague many Filipino Families today. Presented by Trumpets, watch a unique blend of comedy, personal narrative, and music in this story of restoration and second chances. Catch it at Zobel De Ayala Recital Hall, Maybank Performing Arts Theather on August 3 to 4.
BGC Art Mart Workshops (August 17 to 18)
Calling all artsy people! The BGC Art Mart Workshop will feature a series of workshops, such as the Oil Pastel Night Workshop by Tinsley, Scavenger Art by Anna Lete and Kat Torrefranca, Make Mine a Mini by Dinna of ReallyTinyElephants, and Fundamentals of Painting by Synthesis Workshop.
These workshops are lined up every third weekend this month until September starting on August 17 to 18 at the Dolores L. Tan Hall, Maybank Performing Arts Theater.

13th of September (August 31 to September 1)
The Philippines’ official entry to the 9th Festival International de Théâtre de Mont-Laurier in Quebec, Canada, 13th of September is a re-imagination of Lanie Robertson’s one-act play entitled The Insanity of Mary Girard directed by Riki Benedicto.
This spectacular play will run for a limited time only from August 31 to September 1 at the Zobel De Ayala Recital Hall, Maybank Performing Arts Theater. Tickets are available via Ticket World online.
BGC Passion Collective (September 16)
For aspiring theater artists, this is your chance to showcase your acting skills as BGC Passion Collective opens its doors for a 36-session program starting on September 16.
BGC Passion Collective is a community theater program that trains its members to perform, produce, and market their own shows that inspire and empower audiences.
Enrollees may choose from four tracks: Performance, Production Design, Stage Management, and Theater Management, and get to perform for the closing production Breakups & Breakdowns by Joel Trinidad this November.
